Vignavecchia, hidden, steep, a little off to the side, and a treasure trove that amazes us every year with its excellent production results.
The soil in the first layer is poor and fine, drains well and has good structure, with a composition rich in limestone and clay. There are large areas of creta, a type of clay mixed with sand, as well as areas with a great presence of clay enriched by fossil deposits.

Vignavecchia
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
Made only in select vintages, this is the estate’s smallest and most prized cru. Produced from a tiny, west-facing, 2-hectare (5 acres) vineyard planted on a steep hill in 1988, this is the winery’s oldest and most prized vineyard block.
