Podernovi, San Polo’s new single vineyard Brunello, makes its debut with the extraordinary 2015 vintage. Crafted with Sangiovese grapes grown in the vineyard synonymous with the wine, it is among the most beautiful and archetypal of Montalcino. Podernovi is an elegant and poignant Brunello.

Made only in select vintages, this is the estate’s smallest and most prized cru. Produced from a tiny, west-facing, 2-hectare (5 acres) vineyard planted on a steep hill in 1988, this is the winery’s oldest and most prized vineyard block.

Sangiovese, Montalcino’s most important grape variety, is fermented and aged exclusively in stainless steel tanks, giving life to a wine with great freshness and versatility. Deep ruby red in colour, Rubio is modern and elegant and conveys the lively fragrances and colours of an untouched natural environment.

Rosso di Montalcino is a wine with its own unique identity and a strong personality. This wine’s style highlights the freshness and integrity of the Sangiovese from this terroir and balances intensity with an immediate appeal.

Crafted from a single parcel of Sangiovese, Vigna del Masso is defined by an enormous volcanic stone at the ingress to the vineyard. The wine is vinified whole clusters and undergoes an extended maceration period in amphorae. A rich and intense red wine, deeply respectful of the terroir of origin, with which San Polo confirms itself as one of the most innovative and experimental realities in Montalcino, entirely inspired by the principles of sustainability and social responsibility.
