The first year of the Marilisa Allegrini group: growth, reorganization and new investments
Marilisa Allegrini, President of the Group: “Welcoming in order to tell your story: investing in the link between hospitality and wine has never been so important. Encompassing territory, culture and production know-how, Italy has all the credentials to be a global benchmark. The System must be supported and defended”.
Fumane, April 1, 2025 – A good first year for the Marilisa Allegrini Group. The first consolidated financial statements of the company, founded in March 2024, show a turnover in line with forecasts, equal to 10.5 million euros, confirming the vision and soundness of the business model as well as a strong ability to adapt to the dynamics of the sector.
“In a market environment market by significant turbulence and constant fluctuations, the result of our first nine months is far from a foregone conclusion. Establishing a business project in an industry that is so susceptible to external factors, especially during the current period, has undoubtedly been a complex and ambitious undertaking. Confirmation of this sort shows us that we are on the right track. I am satisfied and proud of our companies, which continue to gain appreciation and trust in Italy as well as, increasingly, abroad. In forty years of traveling all over the world I have sown well, and now I am happy to see my daughters, Carlotta and Caterina, following the same path” explains Marilisa Allegrini, Cavaliere del Lavoro (Order of Merit for Labor) and President of the Marilisa Allegrini Group.
Exports are in fact an important asset for all three companies owned by the Mastella Allegrini family – Villa Della Torre in Fumane, Poggio Al Tesoro in Bolgheri and San Polo in Montalcino – reaching 70% with products in key markets such as the United States, Switzerland, Germany, the United Kingdom and Japan.

The Group’s balance sheet is positive, and not only in terms of numbers and turnover. 2024, the year the new company was founded, was in fact a very dynamic period, as demonstrated by the many prestigious initiatives that took place in both Veneto and Tuscany. In September, in Bolgheri, Poggio Al Tesoro took part in the Dinner on the Viale dei Cipressi (Bolgheri’s renowned ‘Cypress Avenue’) and the following day, it organized a vertical tasting of five vintages of Vermentino SoloSole. Also in September, Villa Della Torre was chosen as the venue for the lunch of the Presidents of the Lower Houses of the G7 Countries and the European Parliament. Furthermore, confirming the appreciation of national and international critics, the Group garnering important awards, including – in February 2025 – sixth place in the classic rating by Gentleman magazine (which groups the results of the Gambero Rosso, Veronelli, Bibenda, Vitae, Daniele Cernilli and Luca Maroni wine guides) with the wine ‘Dedicato a Walter Bolgheri Superiore DOC 2020’ from the Poggio al Tesoro winery.

“Growing in numbers is obviously a constant business objective, but what I consider truly strategic is to stimulate integrated and synergistic growth between wine and hospitality. This ‘Welcoming in order to tell your story’ represents, in my opinion, not only the key that will distinguish our Group, but also a fundamental value for the entire country. Investing in the link and the combination of hospitality and wine has never been so crucial. In an increasingly competitive world, Italy stands out for its extraordinary heritage of winegrowing areas, culture and production know-how, elements that place it in a position of excellence on a global level. Thanks to a centuries-old tradition and a unique ability to combine hospitality with food and wine experiences, our country can and must be a benchmark for the sector. It is essential to support and enhance this system, protecting its quality and promoting synergies as well as innovations capable of strengthening its competitiveness and international attractiveness” comments Marilisa Allegrini.

The team: placing trust in young people
The new company organization, aimed at consolidating the structure and sustainable long-term growth, also contributed to the positive trend of the Group’s first year. During the year, the Group invested significantly in human capital, hiring sixteen new people and focusing on a young team, with an average age of under 35. This choice reflects the company’s trust and commitment to training the professionals of tomorrow and the desire to create an ever-dynamic and innovative work environment.
Growth forecasts
The company has outlined ambitious growth objectives for the next five years, confirming the centrality of the two strategic areas: wine production and the hospitality sector. At a group level, the forecast is to double its turnover, increasing the revenue of the three wineries to 15 million euros and, at the same time, to stimulate significant growth in the hospitality sector, which today represents 5% of the total turnover, reaching 5 million euros. This expansion plan is part of a broader growth strategy, which also stems from the increase in the production of Villa Della Torre wines starting from the 2024 vintage and which, again in the five-year period, will lead the Group to produce 1 million bottles.

Vinitaly 2025, april 6-9, 2025
Among the most eagerly awaited events, Vinitaly 2025 will, as always, be a key moment for Marilisa Allegrini: the Group will be present with a large, redesigned stand in Pavilion 9 (Stand B15), where the entire team is ready to welcome professionals and enthusiasts from all over the world. In addition to the new vintages of Poggio al Tesoro and San Polo, the wines of Brolo di Villa Della Torre and the four new wines from Peaks&Valleys will make their official debut here. Of note, as a novelty of this edition, is the area dedicated to wine lovers: a corner of the stand specially designed to offer tastings to end consumers (and not just to professionals). The usual Gala Dinner at Villa Della Torre will be held on Monday, April 7th and will see the extraordinary participation of Chef Vito Mollica of the Atto di Vito Mollica Restaurant (Palazzo Portinari Salviati Florence, 1 Michelin star). “This year we wanted to celebrate the union between Veneto and Tuscany, a distinctive element that unites our three companies and represents my three ‘homes’. Having known Vito for many years, the choice was a natural one and I am very happy that he has agreed to accompany us on this taste-journey,” explains Marilisa Allegrini.
