DIARIO DELLA VENDEMMIA HARVEST DIARY 2019 12 13 La sua forza è il profumo di una natura incontaminata Un territorio unico, una cantina ecosostenibile ed un approccio fortemente ecofriendly combinato con una viticoltura responsabile… cosa ancora? Una squadra professionale ed affiatata che, anche per questa annata, si fa trovare pronta al periodo più importante: la vendemmia. L’emozione è sempre tangibile, così come un minimo di tensione legata alla consapevolezza di quanto delicata sia ogni operazione. Riccardo Fratton ha sempre tenuto aggiornato l’intero team sull’andamento fenologico delle viti prima, e sulla maturazione delle uve poi. Iniziamo la vendemmia con un certo ritardo rispetto agli scorsi anni: Agostino e Costa sono pronti per il primo taglio, mentre Stefania e Marion si occupano della pulizia e dell’organizzazione degli spazi, sia in cantina che in magazzino. Il terreno da cui provengono le uve del Rubio è particolarmente ricco di argille, che favoriscono il bilanciamento fra zuccheri e polifenoli negli acini. Questo rosso, infatti, è un vino molto godibile e beverino, di taglio moderno, in grado di esprimere la vivacità dei profumi di una natura incontaminata. A professional and close-knit team that in this vintage, as in previous cases, is ready for the most important period: the harvest. Emotions are running high and there’s also a certain amount of tension linked to an awareness of the delicacy of each operation. Riccardo Fratton has always kept the whole team updated firstly on the phenological development of the vines and then on the ripeness of the grapes. We start the harvest somewhat later compared to previous years: Agostino and Costa are ready for the first blends while Stefania and Marion take care of cleaning and organizing the spaces, both in the winery and in the warehouse. The soil where the Rubio grapes grow is particularly rich in clays, which foster the right balance between the sugars and the polyphenols in the berries. This red, in fact, is a very enjoyable and easy-drinking wine, a modern blend that successfully transmits the vivacity of the fragrances of an unspoilt natural environment.
