Vignavecchia, Brunello di Montalcino 2018 has been included inside the 100 best wines SELECTED by LUCIANO FERRARO E JAMES SUCKLING
Precisely during these days of celebration in Montalcino, for the annual "Benvenuto Brunello" event, San Polo is filled with honor: VIGNAVECCHIA Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2018 was selected and included in the guide "The best 100 wines and winemakers of Italia 2024" of Corriere della Sera, edited by Luciano Ferraro and James Suckling.
James Suckling, one of the most successful wine critics in the world, is now collaborating with "Il Corriere dalla Sera" the n°1 newspaper in Italy and together with Luciano Ferraro, deputy director of the Italian newspaper he followed the new edition of "100 best wines and winemakers of Italy from Corriere dalla Sera", the result of a careful selection that led to the tasting of 7,000 wines in order to choose the 100 most deserving. Within this list, our Vignavecchia 2018 was included in the elite list of wines with a score of 96.
After Rosso di Montalcino, Vignavecchia 2018 also receives an important recognition which, Riccardo Fratton, oenologist from San Polo, comments as follows: "The two awarded wines, Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello Vignavecchia, are two different interpretations of Sangiovese both of them united by the capacity to represent and express the great terroir of San Polo. Recognitions like this make us appreciate even more the commitment and passion we put into our work every day. It's a great emotion and a stimulus to continue with enthusiasm and satisfaction."
"Seeing the potential of San Polo expressed in these results makes us appreciate even more the commitment and passion we put into our work every day and gives us even more drive and enthusiasm to achieve ever better and higher results. These are processes that they require a lot of commitment, dedication and precision and allow us to bring to the table a wine that tells the whole world about the most authentic Tuscany" comments Cavaliere Marilisa Allegrini, owner of the estate.
The wonderful awards received in recent days are not a goal for San Polo but a stimulus and confirmation of the qualitative path that we embrace every day.
